The Beginning of Coca-cola

Everytime Coca-Cola  adorn our beverages, it is the most popular softdrink in the world. Anytime and anywhere, This soft drink is always present near us. But did you know the history of coca-cola?

Coca-Cola was first sold at Jacob's Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1886. The change of the weather in that region makes Atlatan became a dry place and make people in Atlanta looking for a cool beverages. In the beginning this softdrink's sales is not good, though this drinks only sold by five cents a glass, about one dollar if measured by the value of money at this time. 

In the early days, Coca-Cola's sales in a single day only about 14 glasses, really far away if compare to  today's sales about 12,600 packing every second. According to the history, the pharmacist, Dr. John Smith Pemberton makes the production of Coca-Cola in a three-legged copper cartels. In the first year of Coca-Cola, its selling yields only USD 50 with marketing and advertising costs increased to USD 73,96. 

Pemberton knew how to make a good product but he is not talented in marketing. Sales volumes remain small, because coca-cola are only sold locally. So, he started doing some agreement to help his business.

The Sinking of Titanic

It was almost midnight. I was on deck. Suddenly there was a terrible crash. I fell and hit my head. People were screaming and shouting for help. I felt something cold and sticky under my hand. It was a block of ice, covered with blood, my blood. Then I realised what had happened. We had struck an iceberg.

The Titanic had become the biggest, fastest, and most luxurious ship in the world since it made, carrying over 2,200 people, both passenger and crew. It has 16 watertight compartments so that the newspaper had called her unsinkable.

Many of the passenger were dancing, some of them were drinking, and the rest were playing cards when the ship suddenly struck an enormous iceberg. The impact ripped a huge hole in her side. Great blocks of ice flew across the deck, killing a number of people. Captain Smith had given the order to abandon ship: “Women and children first!” less than three hours later the Titanic had sunk.

Evidence later had shown that there were only enough lifeboats for 1,200 people, about half number on board.

The captain used the new SOS distress signal. There was a ship only 15 kilometres away, and the crew saw rockets, but thought they were sent up from the Titanic. Two hours after the Titanic had sunk, another ship arrived, and 705 people in lifeboats were saved. They were mainly women and children. Most of those left on board when the ship sank. It is said that the orchestra, which was playing on deck to keep the passengers calm, carried on until the ship went down.

1513 persons died in the worst maritime disaster, including the american millionaires John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim, and Isidor Straus.

The sinking of Titanic led many reforms, such as lifeboat space for every person on a ship, lifeboat drills, the maintenance of a full-time radio watch while at sea and an international ice patrol

Horror movie must have an antagonist character. His form could be different. From men, ghosts, until a strange creäture. They are the main attraction of a horror film. The presence of these evil characters often became the center of attention of the audience. Hollywood has pretty much produced horror film. Some of them managed to gain success and recorded in history. The devil in the films suddenly became the mascot. This article summarizes some of those who counted as the legendary Horror Character :

1. Jason Voorhees

Jason Voorhees is a demon that appeared in the legendary horror movie Friday The 13th . This film has entered the 11th sequel after the first sequel was released in 1980. Interestingly, in the first sequel, which appears as an antagonist character is Mrs. Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason. Jason Voorhees begin as a devil in the second sequel.

Jason Voorhees is a boy who drowned at Camp Crystal Lake. He was a victim of his friends in the Camp. After growing up, he took revenge by massacring all the activities in place.

Jason Voorhees has distinctive features. In appearances he often uses a hockey mask and carrying a machete. Since his first appearance, Jason Voorhees has massacred more than 150 people in all his films. One of the scenes is quite memorable was when he dueled with Tommy Jarvis in the movie Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter (1984).

2. Freddy Krueger

Who does not know Freddy Krueger? He was the star of the legendary horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street. The film was released in early 1984 has had 8 sequel. Freddy Krueger has a unique method to massacre. He did so in the dream of his victim.

In normal life, Freddy Krueger was a child murderer. He then get the anger of parents who go crazy and the burn Freddy alive. Freddy finally returned to the most terrible dream in sleep of his victim.

Unlike Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger has enough sense of humor. He was also quite talkative. Grin off his damaged face equipped with distinctive red shirt and black gloves with claw make him a unique horror character.

3. Michael Myers

Michael Myers brutally killed his older sister when he was 6 years old. Seemed to be a real devil, he returned to his family in Halloween to slaughter them.

This movie was first released in 1978 directed bt John Carpenter. Until now, there have been nine Halloween films have been made. The character of Michael Myers finally transformed into one of a frightening horror icons. Though the cool look behind the mask the number of victims has been noted that more than 70 people.

4. Chucky

Chucky is just a doll, a child's play. But who would have thought the doll was possessed by an evil spirit that is ready to slaughter anyone.

Child's Play was first released in 1988. That's the first movie about the death doll Chucky. Until now chucky had 5 films made specifically to talk about Chucky brutality.

The origin of the Chucky actually started when there was a murderer who was shot dead in a children's toy store. The influence of black magic finally made his spirit was able to transform into any shape. Until his spirit finds a doll to use as his medium.

5. Frankenstein's Monster

Just like Dracula, Frankenstein appears in the classical era through the novel. Boris Karloff was casted as the Frankenstein's monster.

Frankenstein's monster is actually a combination of various parts of the human body that has been dead and the lightning to make the monster alive. Dr. Henry Frankenstein obsession as a scientist that eventually sparked such a crazy idea. Frankenstein's monster was transformed into the horrors of mass murderers and bring in his city into horror.

6. Scream

Scream (1996) when it was released it becomes an extraordinary acclaim among moviegoers. In America, the film managed to gain the income more than $ 100 million. Scream also fly the new trend slasher films. 

Among all the Scream movies the first serial was counted as most impressive sequel. The figure of a boy who is really a psychopath and slaughtered everyone in different ways. In its action, the killer in the movie Scream always wear a scary mask and skull patterned robe.
