Menopause women more at risk of Breast Cancer

Risk of breast cancer can be seen from the level of female hormones . This report is the result of a study conducted recently.

As reported by U.S. News , Shelley Tworoger written study , a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston explained that post-menopausal women with estrogen hormon levels , androgens and prolactin which has a high risk of developing breast cancer than those with higher levels of these hormones more low .

The study stated that the levels of three hormones such as estrone sulfate , testosterone and prolactin be an indicator of breast cancer risk better .

In the study, Shelley and his team examined the risk of breast cancer to 473 postmenopausal women diagnosed with breast cancer and 770 women without breast cancer .

By using measurements of hormone levels , the results obtained predictions become more accurate .

Dr. . Stephanie Bernik , chief of surgical oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York stated , although these findings are promising , but more research is needed , so it can be put into a test examination .
