Arthritis

Arthritis is inflammation of one or both of your joints, on one or both knees or wrists, or on the back. The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.


Symptoms


Signs and symptoms of arthritis most commonly occurs in the joint area. Based on the type of arthritis you have, have symptoms of arthritis in the joints:


• Pain


• Rigid


• Swelling


• Redness


• Reduced distance you move



Some types of arthritis have signs and symptoms in other parts of the body, such as:


• Fever


• Tired


• Rash


• Weight loss is down


• Respiratory Problems


• The eyes and dry mouth


• Sweating at night


Causes & Risk Factors


Causes


Pain associated with arthritis is caused by damage to the joints, among others:



• Cartilage. The joints are hard but slippery coating the ends of bones, cartilage makes the bones easily slipped gently from each other.



• Joint capsule. The membrane is a bit hard to wrap all the joints.



• synovium. Thin membrane lining the joint capsule and synovial fluids that lubricate issued a joint.



The two main types of arthritis joint damage in different ways.

Risk factors


Risk factors for arthritis include:

• Gender. Women are more likely to have arthritis, while more have gout are men.



• Injuries to joints before. People who have had joint injuries are more prone to get it again in the same joints.



• Obesity. Having excess weight will hit the joints, especially the knees, hips and back.



Prevention


Currently there is no proven way to prevent any arthritis, maintaining a healthy weight and exercising regularly can help reduce your risk.


People who already have arthritis should avoid:


• Alcohol


• Meat such as the liver and kidneys


• Sardines


• Anchovies


• Sauce
