Definition
Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reliever. Acetaminophen is used to treat many conditions, such as headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds and fevers.

Acetaminophen may also be used for other needs that are not listed here.


Important Information
Do not use more than the recommended acetaminophen. Overdoses can be bad. Acethaminophen maximum levels for adults is 1 gram (1000 mg) per dose and 4 grams (4000 mg) per day. Consume more doses can cause liver damage. If you drink alcohol, talk to your doctor before using this drug, and never use more than 2 grams (2,000 mg) per day.

Do not use acethaminophen before consulting with a physician if you consume alcoholic beverages, or if you have liver disease (cirrhosis). You may not use this drug.

Before using acethaminophen, tell your doctor if you have liver disease or have even become a drunkard.

Do not use any over the counter medications (cough drops, cold, allergy or pain relievers without a prescription) without first asking your doctor. Acethaminophen can be contained in these drugs. If you use these products together then you can too much wear acethaminophen. Read the instructions contained in the drug label.

Avoid drinking alcohol while using this drug because it can cause liver damage.


Side Effects
Call emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to this:
• Itching with red spots
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat

Discontinue use and contact your doctor if you have the following serious side effects:
• Low-grade fever with a sense nual, abdominal pain and loss of appetite
• The urine becomes dark or colored impurities such as clay
• yellowing of skin and eyes

Symptomatic side effects above may appear incomplete and other symptoms.
